Québec has not had a team in any of the professional major leagues since the NHL Nordiques left in 1995, but it is represented by the Capitales baseball club of the Northern League. Home games are played in the Municipal Stadium, 100 rue du Cardinal Maurice-Roy (tel. 418/521-2255). Tickets cost from C$6 to C$13 (US$4.30-US$9.30).
Harness races take place at the Hippodrome de Québec, 250 bd. Wilfrid-Hamel ExpoCité (tel. 418/524-5283). Races are held year-round Thursday to Tuesday at 1:30 or 7:30pm (times vary from season to season; call ahead). Admission is free. Le Cavallo clubhouse is open year-round.
